How to Create Your Own Workshop Partner?

Have you ever imagined a companion you created could talk with you? Or fancied them playing games with you and keeping you company in daily life? Now, it’s no longer just a dream—HakkoAI is here to make it happen for you~

Soul Injection Project is officially live! We've launched the Companion Workshop to help you "inject a soul" into your character. Powered by world-leading AI technology, our self-developed gaming model, and our unique computer vision (CV), we can sync in-game visuals in real time! Every character can chat, interact, and accompany you immersively.

All you need to do is upload your character picture, persona, voice and video to the Workshop, and your character can become a companion who talks with you and plays games with you. After uploading, you can choose to make the character public or private. Public characters will be featured in the HakkoAI client under Companion → Workshop, where all users can see and use your character!

Steps to Create a Workshop Character

HakkoAI's world is full of unique characters—you've probably already tried a bunch of them~

Are you curious how these characters are made? And do you also want your own character to accompany you and entertain your life?

Next, we'll walk you through the steps to create a Workshop Character:

A - Companion Workshop

First, click Companion. On the right-side panel, you'll see two tabs: Official Companions and Workshop, please choose Workshop. You'll find public Workshop characters made by other users, as well as the ones you created yourself~

Then tap the Create button in the bottom-right corner to start creating your own companion!

B - Character Image

A vivid character image is key to bringing your character to life.

On the creation page, click Upload Character Image. You can choose an anime character, a movie/TV character, or anything you like to upload. The avatar is cut from the image. We recommend the image size should be 9:16, and the format should be JPG, PNG, or JPEG. Photos that match the recommended format will look even better!

C - Character Info

What kind of personality does your character have? What’s their story?

Come introduce your character to us properly~

First, please fill in the character details as prompted in the right panel:

1. Character's name and gender: You can name the character as you like and choose a gender (once selected, the gender cannot be changed, so please pick a clear gender for your character~)

2.Character's voice: Tap to choose a default voice from the voice library that matches your character. Whether you prefer a male voice, female voice, or a neutral voice, you can filter by gender. After selecting, confirm to proceed~

3.Character's persona: Write a few prompts related to the character: you can freely define their identity, personality, tone, backstory, and their relationship with you, so they feel closer to the vibe you want~

Example: You're a sarcastic vampire roommate who's confused by modern technology. You're elegant but lazy, and you speak in a mix of old fashioned poetry with Gen Z slang.

4.Character introduction: Briefly describe your character's introduction, and this will be shown in the companion's profile section (it won't affect how the companion behaves)~

5.Opening line: Please fill in the first greeting your companion will say to start your chat~ The greeting is just what it says, it's the first thing the Character will say when you start a new conversation with them.

Next comes Advanced Settings:

Permissions: Choose whether to make your character public. If set to Public, your Character will be visible in Workshop and in search results. If it's Private, others won't see it unless you share the link, while if you set it to Private no one else will be able to talk with the Character.

Character video: You can upload a short video related to your character. It will be displayed on the character page (tap the character card to play).

Finally, after reading and agreeing to the User Agreement, you can publish your character~

Once submitted, it will beunder the review. After approval, you can begin your companion journey with the partner you created~

You can edit more details about your Character at any time. In the future, when creating new characters, you can also immediately do more detailed editing of a Character's attributes directly by clicking Edit.
