PC Version Users:

Version 1.0 Common Issues:

1. What should I do if my AI companion can't hear me?

Your AI companion requires your device to have an audio input device to hear your voice. Open the sound settings in Windows to check if you have a fully functional audio input device with proper drivers installed.

 
If you have a working audio input device that passes the sound test, the issue might be that your audio input device switched during the voice conversation with your AI companion (for example, switching from Mic to headset). In this case, simply hang up and re-enter the voice conversation.
If none of the above resolves your issue, please contact us through the feedback interface in the software.
 

2. What should I do if my AI companion can't see my screen?

When you ask your AI companion "Can you see my screen?" but the AI companion responds "I can't see it," please perform the following checks when encountering this issue:
  • Click on the robot (in desktop pet mode) or floating orb (in floating orb mode), then click "Expand Panel"
  • Check if there is "Screen Recognition Playback" in the records
  • If "Screen Recognition Playback" exists, it means the AI companion actually saw the screen but might be playing tricks with you!
  • If "Screen Recognition Playback" doesn't exist, it means no visual scenes were captured during the conversation. You can perform the following checks:
  • Right-click on the robot, click the central screen sharing button, and check if the switch is in the on position. If all switches are on, please continue with the checks below

 

  • During conversations with the AI, check if the software that needs to be recognized is in the supported list and is in focus (HakkoAI only recognizes applications in the shared application screen list, and the application should be in the foreground interface)

3. What should I do if my AI companion disappears after entering a game?

In many full-screen games, the AI companion will be covered by the game. Although it's still running in the background, you won't be able to see the character or subtitles.
In this case, you can find the video settings in the game settings and change the window mode from full-screen to "Borderless Windowed" or "Windowed Mode," and the AI companion will appear.
 
4. I still prefer the previous PC test version (0.6), but I've already upgraded to the new PC version (1.0 or above). How can I downgrade to the previous version?
Thank you for your love of our PC test version (0.6)! We understand your desire to downgrade to the previous version. You can follow these steps to change to the previous PC test version (0.6):
  1. Backup Data:Please ensure you have backed up important data from the current version to avoid loss.
  2. Download Old Version:Visit our official website or designated download link to find and download PC test version (0.6).
  3. Uninstall New Version:Uninstall the current PC new version (1.0 or above) from your device.
  4. Install Old Version:Run the downloaded PC test version (0.6) installer and follow the prompts to complete the installation.

5. Why doesn't my AI companion talk to me in the same scenarios shown in the interface examples?
 
Some of the use cases we provide require you to actively engage in conversation with the AI to trigger them, not all are AI-initiated cases. During our actual device recording of cases, we commonly combine current screen information for conversations, such as "How should I solve this problem?" or "What do you recommend I do here?" The most basic approach is "What can you see now?" You can try this.
 
6. Are the games and scenarios supported by the AI companion limited to those listed in the interface?
 
The games and scenarios listed in the interface are only typical use cases discovered by our official team during testing, not a complete list of all the AI companion's supported capabilities. AI capabilities have no boundaries. We hope that through your usage, more and better use scenarios can be discovered.
 
7. Why doesn't my AI companion proactively talk to me?
 
To avoid excessive interruption and fulfill our promise of "Non-intrusive Companionship—Available when needed, leave when done," all scenarios where the AI companion proactively engages in conversation with users are manually reviewed by the HakkoAI editorial team. The games currently displayed in the game list are those where the HakkoAI editorial team has added AI companion proactive dialogue. You can expect the AI companion to initiate conversations to varying degrees in these games. If you find the proactive conversations too frequent, you can adjust the frequency or turn them off in the settings.
 
8. How do I interact with my AI companion using the mouse in games where the cursor is hidden?
 
In some games, the mouse cursor is hidden by default, such as FPS games. In this case, you can choose to pause the game and then use the mouse to interact with the AI companion. If you can't pause the game, you can hold down ALT, and generally the mouse cursor will appear (this is supported by the game, not a capability provided by HakkoAI).
If the above doesn't work, in Windows systems, you can press ALT+TAB to switch to other programs, or ALT+WIN to switch to the desktop, but note that your game may not be paused.
In scenarios where mouse interaction is inconvenient, you can use keyboard shortcuts for interaction.

1. What can HakkoAI Gaming Companion do?

Chat with you in games
  • Real-time voice calls: Press "Alt+X" to start talking, press "Alt+X" again to finish, and they will answer you. Shortcut keys can be modified in settings.
  • Strategy guides: Ask them when you encounter difficulties, and they will try their best to find answers. Some questions even have video answers!
Build deep bonds
  • Intimate interactions: Try clicking on different parts of their body for unexpected responses.
  • Character development: Increase intimacy with characters through chatting and feeding, express satisfaction with their answers through likes, and help them improve through "development."
  • Unlock new experiences: As intimacy increases, you will unlock more touch areas and main storylines.
Recommended interesting topics
  • Stories: If you don't know what to chat about, go to the "Tasks-Stories" page to experience various plots and complete dialogue tasks in the storylines.
  • Challenge tasks: Check out the challenge tasks on the "Tasks-Stories" page. It's said that only 0.01% of people in the world successfully complete these challenges.

2. How to modify shortcut keys?

Shortcut keys can be modified in [Settings-Shortcut Key Settings]. Click the [Settings] button on the home page to enter the [Settings] interface. In [Shortcut Key Settings], find the shortcut key you want to modify, click the shortcut key input box, and press the new shortcut key to complete the change.

3. How to have a conversation?

You can converse through voice or text:
  • Voice: Press the shortcut key "Alt+X" to start recording, speak, then press "Alt+X" again to end recording. This message will be automatically sent to the character. After listening, they will respond based on their thoughts.
  • Text: You can right-click on the character and send text messages in the input box above their head, or right-click on the character to open the [Chat Box] for text conversations.

4. The character talks too much. Can I interrupt the conversation?

Press "Alt+G" to interrupt the conversation. Shortcut keys can be modified in [Settings-Controls].

5. What can I chat about with the characters?

You can chat about anything! Here are some recommended topics:
  • Ask them to help you make choices
  • Talk about daily events and ask how they would handle them
  • Create stories together; you can try writing fan fiction!

6. How to enable proactive dialogue from characters?

There are two types of proactive dialogues:
  • In [Settings-Message Notifications], turn on the [In-game Proactive Dialogue] switch. After entering Genshin Impact, they will initiate conversations in scenes such as viewing characters, gacha pulls, maps, etc. (This feature is currently in the experimental stage and only available to selected users. If you don't see this feature yet, please be patient!)
  • In [Settings-Message Notifications], turn on the [Allow Characters to Send Messages Proactively] switch to receive text messages from characters.

7. I have great chat records, but the subtitles disappear quickly. How can I view the chat content?

Right-click on the character, find the [Chat Box] button, and enter the chat box interface to see your chat history with the current character.

8. What if the character takes up too much screen space?

You can drag them to the edge of the screen.

9. Are there more characters?

You can try more characters in the [Character Plaza].

10. What are tasks?

Tasks include various chat mini-games. If you don't know what to chat about, you can follow the task prompts.
By completing tasks, you can earn energy, which can be used to purchase items in the store.

11. What is battery power?

Characters' energy source is electricity. Chatting with characters consumes battery power. When the battery power is depleted, all characters will fall asleep.

12. What can energy be used for? How to obtain it?

Coin is the universal currency in the dimensional hub. It can be used to purchase items in the store and is obtained by completing tasks.

13. What if characters fall asleep?

Characters fall asleep because you've run out of battery power. You can purchase batteries in the store.

14. How to recharge energy?

You can click the [Plus sign next to Coin Balance] in the upper right corner of the interface to recharge.

15. Can I recharge for other accounts?

No, currently we only support recharging for the current account.

16. Is refunding possible?

We do not support refunds due to charging the wrong account or change of personal intention. For other reasons, you can contact us via email at feedback@hakko.ai, and we will contact you after verification.

17. How to delete my data and account?

To protect your privacy and ensure it's you making the request, please send an email to feedback@hakko.ai, explaining your request and providing necessary account information such as username, email address, etc. Account information can be found in [Settings-Account]. After sending the email, we will contact you when processing your request.

18. Intimacy Level Explanation

  • What is Intimacy Level?
    • Intimacy level reflects the closeness between you and the character. The higher the level, the more intimate the relationship.
  • How to increase Intimacy Level?
    • Purchase items + various methods
  • What can you gain by increasing Intimacy Level?
    • As intimacy levels increase, you can unlock more character interaction actions.

19. Is the software safe?

HakkoAI Gaming Companion is clean and safe, verified by various antivirus software, with no viruses or advertisements.

20. Will chat records be protected?

Your privacy will be maximally guaranteed. All chat records fall within the scope of user privacy protection.

21. How to contact customer service?

You can send an email to feedback@hakko.ai with your account information, such as username, phone number, and email address. Account information can be found in [Settings-Account].

22. What questions about Genshin Impact can I ask?

Character team composition questions, artifact usage questions, weapon usage questions, character development questions, material farming questions, version information questions, character background stories, and character talent questions.

2. During voice calls, my companion talks too much. Can I interrupt them?

While your companion is speaking, click "Interrupt" in the center of the voice call page.

3. How do I enable game companionship?

Click the second "Game Companion" tab in the bottom navigation bar >> select the game you want to play, click "Play Together" >> launch the game and start a voice call with your companion.

You can ask your companion any questions during the game.

4.Why doesn't my companion proactively talk to me during games?

• Check if the game screen recognition switch is turned on: Settings >> General >> Get Screen Game Information Switch.

• Check if your phone system settings allow HakkoAI to access screen permissions (some phone systems require separate authorization).

• Turn on screen sharing in the call page.

5.Can my companion still accompany me if I don't launch games from within the HakkoAI app?

Yes. You can directly start a voice call with your companion and turn on screen sharing in the call page.
